Estrella Resources (ASX:ESR) Exploration Manager Peter Spitalny discusses the exciting copper discovery work on-going in Timor-Leste. Estrella has released to the ASX details of this exciting exploration work in what is turning out to be a winning move by Estrella to explore this area.

Key Points in ASX release 28 August 2026
• Multiple copper occurrences observed over a 12 km section of the Laleno Dome margin, consistent with the Company's working hypothesis of a district-scale porphyry mineralising event.
• Copper mineralisation* observed during site-inspections of drill-sites designed to test high-conductivity anomalies detected by the MTd survey on the Laleno Dome.
• A key group of samples were identified within an intermediate to felsic igneous rock interpreted as a porphyritic intrusion, with petrographic analysis underway.
• The porphyritic rock is hydrothermally altered, extensively fractured, contains quartz veinlets forming a stockwork and is sulphidic, with traces of pyrite in the veinlets and rock matrix.
• The discovery increases the prospectivity of the Laleno Dome with porphyry systems representing the world's primary source of copper mineralisation and are typically large in scale.
• Copper was also observed in the Noni Formation (3 of 5 new sites), and quartz veined serpentinite (1 of the 5 new sites).
• An initial ~3,000m RC and Diamond tails drilling campaign has been planned to test three compelling targets with the program remaining on track for commencement in early September.
• IP surveying is continuing and a large regional helicopter magneto telluric (MT) survey is scheduled to commence in September.
